General concepts
Here we introduce general concepts about OMERO: project, dataset, image, navigation, renaming, moving images, changing groups, etc.
OMERO has only 3 main entities, they are:
A project can contain datasets and images, but it cannot contain another project or sub-project. Similarly, a dataset can only contain images, it cannot contain another dataset or project. There is no nested project or dataset

When a user login, the system is set to assign and display their Lab-<group>.
Lab-<group>’s owner is the PI of the group.
Each user can rename and remove (not delete) their own images. * remove means removing it from OMERO system view. The image data still resides within OMERO controlled storage space.
Members of the group can read and annotate other members’ images, but they cannot write or rename them.
Group default is only accessible by user and are not viewable by others.
