Summary of keyboard shortcuts

You can find the whole list of keyboard shortcuts by clicking on the ? icon on the top right hand side of the screen next to the button for Export.

  • Dragging mode

    Button Ctrl ( on the Mac) Hold down to drag image in edit mode

  • Rotate image in dragging or edit mode
    Buttons: Shift + Alt (Shift ⌥ on the Mac)
    • Hold down to rotate the image instead of dragging it

  • Enter mouse panning mode

    Button: g - Move mouse to pan image in desired direction; - click or press any key to exit panning mode

  • Enter pixel intensity mode

    Button: p

  • Enter drag mode

    Button: d

  • Enter select/edit mode

  • Select drawing tool

  • Rotate ROIs mode

    Hold down to rotate ROIs in edit mode - Draw square or circle

  • Draw square or circle
    Button: Shift

    Hold down while drawing a rectangle or ellipse to create a square or circle

  • Resize rectangle or ellipse while keeping aspect ratio
    Button: Shift

    Hold down while resizing a rectangle or ellipse to keep the aspect ratio constant

  • Toggle replacement points when editing freehand shape
    Button: Shift

    Hold down while editing a freehand shape to toggle which points will be replaced

  • Delete ROIs
    Button: Del ( on the Mac)

    Delete selected ROIs

  • Select all visible ROIs

    Buttons: Alt + a (⌘ + a on the Mac)

  • Copy selected ROIs

    Buttons: Alt + c (⌘+ c on the Mac)

  • Paste copied ROIs
    Buttons: Alt + v (⌘+ v on the Mac)

    when Paste ROIs copied from this or any other open PathViewer window

  • Undo last change

    Buttons: Alt + z (⌘+ z on the Mac)

  • Redo last change

    Buttons: Alt + y (⌘+ y on the Mac)

  • Move image

    Buttons: ←/ →/ ↑/ ↓

  • Zoom in/out

    Buttons: +/ -

  • Zoom in to next discrete magnification level

    Buttons: Ctrl + + (⌥+ + on the Mac)

  • Zoom out to next discrete magnification level

    Buttons: Ctrol + - (⌥+ - on the Mac)

  • Decrease/increase Z index

  • Decrease/increase T index

  • Select previous/next ROI

    Buttons: < / >

  • Hide selected/Toggle all ROIs

    Toggles visibility of all ROIs if no ROIs are selected
